Do you have the resilience and patience to support pupils who need additional behavioural guidance? Are you looking to gain valuable experience in a supportive primary school setting? About the RoleIn this role, you will work as a 1:1 Behaviour Mentor, providing dedicated support to a pupil who requires additional help managing their behaviour and emotions within the classroom environment. A key part of this position involves supporting a child with social, emotional and behavioural needs, helping them to engage positively with learning and develop effective coping strategies. You will: • Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day • Implement behaviour plans and follow agreed strategies • Help the pupil regulate emotions and manage challenging behaviour • Encourage positive interactions with peers and staff • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support staff This role would suit someone calm, resilient, and confident, with a genuine commitment to supporting children to overcome barriers to learning. Experience working with children with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour is highly desirable.
