1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Garstang (KS2 Experience Essential)Location: Garstang, Lancashire The RoleWe are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil within a primary school setting in Garstang. This role involves working closely with a child in Key Stage 2, providing tailored support to help them access the curriculum and thrive both academically and socially. Key Responsibilities • Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs • Assist in delivering targeted interventions and differentiated learning • Support the pupil's emotional regulation and behaviour management • Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals • Monitor progress and contribute to reports and reviews • Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment Requirements • Experience working within Key Stage 2 (essential) • Previous experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties) • Strong behaviour management skills and a patient, nurturing approach • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff • Relevant qualifications (e.g. TA Level 2/3) are desirable but not essential What We Offer • Competitive daily rate / salary • Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant • Opportunities for professional development and training • A welcoming and supportive school environment How to ApplyIf you are passionate about supporting children with SEN and have the relevant KS2 experience, we'd love to hear from you.
