1:1 Teaching Assistant

Prospero Teaching are looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School in Colchester, supporting a Year 1 pupil with autism, starting ASAP. This role will involve providing tailored support to help the pupil engage with learning, build confidence, and manage their day-to-day classroom routine. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS Location – Colchester * Position – 1:1 Teaching Assistant (Year 1) * Contract or position start date – ASAP * Duration / Likely Duration – Ongoing for the rest of the summer term * Contract type – Long-Term Temporary * Full time/part time – Part time (Monday to Friday) * Minimum rate of pay – £62 – £65 per day * Hours – 10.30 am – 3.15 pm EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS Previous TA experience Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly autism, is highly desirable A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach to learning support GCSE English and Maths grade ‘C’ TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK * Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application * Provide two professional child related references OTHER If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up-to-date CV.
