7.5 Tonne Driver - Wigan People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in Wigan. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, full training and genuine long-term opportunities with a leading company within the industry. This role would suit candidates who have previously worked as a Category C1 Driver, Multi-Drop Driver or Truck Driver. Pay Rate: £14.50 - £14.75 per hour Working Hours: • Monday to Friday, plus Saturday shifts • Start time of 08:00 • Approximate shift length of eight to ten hours • Ongoing full-time work Benefits: Your benefits as a 7.5 Tonne Driver are: • Ongoing position with a leading company • Weekly pay • Full training provided • Immediate starts available • Consistent Monday to Friday working pattern • Approximate eight to ten hour shift lengths • Supportive team environment • Genuine long-term opportunities Day to Day Duties: Your duties as a 7.5 Tonne Driver will be: • Driving Category C1 vehicles safely and efficiently • Completing between five and ten deliveries per shift to commercial properties across the North West • Carrying out vehicle checks before and after each shift • Ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and on time • Handballing goods as required • Communicating professionally with customers on delivery sites • Addressing customer concerns and reporting issues promptly to management • Adhering to all transport regulations and company procedures Essential Skills: The skills required to be a 7.5 Tonne Driver will be: • A valid UK Category C1 Driving Licence • A valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • No more than six penalty points for minor offences • No DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99 endorsement codes • No major endorsement codes • Strong customer service and communication skills • Good punctuality and timekeeping • A professional and reliable approach to work Desirable Experience: • Previous multi-drop delivery experience • Experience delivering to commercial premises • Experience driving Category C1 vehicles Training: • Paid site induction provided • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment Apply Today: If you are an experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver looking for ongoing work with excellent rates of pay and immediate starts available, we would love to hear from you.
