Job description

As an Accountant in the industrial/manufacturing sector, you'll handle the day-to-day financial tasks that keep everything running smoothly. From preparing reports to managing budgets, your work will ensure the business stays on top of its finances. Client Details A leading multinational manufacturer with operations across multiple sites, the client produces sustainable, fibre-based products for a broad range of commercial customers. With a strong focus on operational efficiency, innovation, and environmental responsibility, the organisation operates within a complex supply chain and relies on robust financial reporting and analysis to support strategic decision-making and business performance. Description • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports. • Perform variance analysis and explain financial performance. • Process journals, accruals, prepayments, and other accounting adjustments. • Reconcile balance sheet and ledger accounts within month-end deadlines. • Support month-end and year-end close activities. • Ensure compliance with SOX controls, accounting policies, and internal procedures. • Investigate financial anomalies and resolve discrepancies. • Support internal and external audit processes. • Collaborate with Accounts Payable (P2P), Credit & Collections, and other finance teams. • Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and reporting Profile • Experience in management accounting or financial accounting. • Knowledge of month-end reporting processes. • SAP or other ERP system experience. • Strong Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting. • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. • Strong communication skills, including presenting financial information to non-finance stakeholders Job Offer • Competitive salary • Study support and career development opportunities. • Hybrid working (typically 3 days in the office, 2 days from home). • Pension scheme, life assurance, and income protection. • Employee Assistance Programme and digital GP access. • Cycle-to-work scheme and employee discounts
