Job description

Accountant • Location: Great Yarmouth • Salary: £40,000 • Job Type: Temporary to Permanent Reed Finance Norwich are delighted to be exclusively supporting a Great Yarmouth based business to recruit for a temporary to permanent Accountant to join their team. The Accountant will be responsible for managing the finance administration function, particularly focusing on invoicing processing on site. This role involves ensuring accurate and efficient invoicing, carrying out checks to ensure invoicing accuracy, and managing site administration teams and processes. Day-to-day of the role: • Support the site administration team in accurately inputting invoicing data. • Ensure invoicing accuracy and that the correct rates are charged as per contracted rates, including applying the correct margins to non-contracted rates. • Develop and maintain good working relationships with all key site stakeholders through clear and transparent communication for the delivery of onsite requirements. • Communicate with technical assessors regarding new waste items to ensure the correct rates are applied. • Ensure that all critical and relevant information is correctly recorded, right first time, within business standard workflows with process failures challenged and appropriate corrective actions implemented. • Manage and develop all administration functions and support the development of office admin staff. • Prepare month-end accruals and coordinate with finance colleagues for month-end reporting. • Create invoice trackers, checking and issuing invoices on a timely basis. • Act as a critical super user for internal processes and tracking systems/databases driving process and data efficiencies within the business. • Deliver complete, accurate, and timely sales invoicing, "Right First Time", each month. Required Skills & Qualifications: • English and Mathematics at Standard Grade (or equivalent). • Accomplished in computer use and operating systems, including MS Office. • Accountant qualification. • Excellent proficiency in Excel. • Experience and ability to work in a methodical, organised, and systematic manner.
