Accounts Administrator

Think Accountancy & Finance are recruiting for an Accounts Administrator to join a well-established business in Hemel Hempstead for an ongoing contract, expected to run until at least December 2026, with the likelihood of extending to around April 2027. The role has been created to support the finance team during an exciting business-wide system implementation, making it a fantastic opportunity to gain experience within a busy and evolving finance environment. We are ideally looking for someone with strong Excel, and experience working within a finance environment, or the desire to get into a finance position. The role will include: • Cash posting and allocation of customer payments • Coding remittances • Processing lease allocations • Processing stock and purchase invoices • Matching invoices to purchase orders • Manual invoice processing • Working closely with the wider finance team to ensure accurate and timely processing across both AR and AP We're looking for someone who: • Ideally has some previous experience in a finance administration, Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger or Accounts Receivable role • Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail • Can manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively • Is confident using finance systems and Microsoft Excel • Enjoys working as part of a collaborative finance team What's on offer: • Salary up to £28,000 DOE • Potential performance bonus based on accuracy and successful completion of the assignment • Immediate start available • Supportive and friendly finance team within a fantastic business • A varied role with exposure across multiple finance functions If you're available to start soon and are looking for your next finance opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.
