Job description

Job Title: Accounts and Advisory Manager Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire (hybrid) Package: £55,000-£70,000, hybrid working, private healthcare, 23 days holiday plus BH Working hours: Full time, Monday-Friday, Flexible hours A fantastic position has arisen within an independent top 100 Accountancy Practice, as an Accounts and Advisory Manager. This is a crucial role to this practice, as they look to continue their growth plans within their individual offices. In this position you will be managing and developing a portfolio of clients through the delivery of high quality accountancy and tax planning. The role is focused on a diverse portfolio of clients, as well as playing a key role in team development. If you are a qualified accountant with strong portfolio management experience this is the role for you Accounts and Advisory Manager Job Responsibilities • Client Service & Portfolio management: Manage a portfolio of rural clients which will involve significant internal liaison, meetings with clients, approve technically robust tax computations, identify technical issues, deliver complex tax advisory outcomes, maintain technical knowledge, and provide exceptional client service • Technical Delivery: Demonstrate exceptional technical knowledge and deliver this to clients through robust, effective advisory reporting and guidance. Specific technical knowledge required is outlined below. • Team Leadership & Staff Development: Manage and develop the team, conduct reviews, provide feedback, delegate appropriately, and build a confident, technically capable team. • Operational Efficiency & Workflow Management: Drive process efficiency and technology adoption, oversee WIP and billing, maintain compliance trackers, drive team productivity through recoveries and chargeable output, ensure files meet quality standards, and support client onboarding. • Business Development: Identify advisory opportunities both within existing clients and new clients, support partners on complex client matters and attend external events to build personal and the Firms profile • Firmwide Contribution: Collaborate with other teams and contribute to wider firm initiatives including best-practice and technology projects.
