Accounts Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for a Accounts Assistant based in Biggleswade for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis. Summary of the Accounts Assistant role Salary: £33,000 - £36,500 Location: Biggleswade Type of Contract: Permanent Hours: 40 hours a week Responsibilities of theAccounts Assistant • Process purchase ledger invoices • Manage credit control activities • Allocate customer remittances • Daily bank reconciliations • Resolve invoice queries • Support the preparation and submission of VAT returns • Assist with month-end and year-end • Assist with internal and external audit requirements • Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems • Liaise with internal departments to respond to finance queries and provide administrative support Requirements for a successful Accounts Assistant • Strong data entry and organisational skills • Excellent attention to detail • Confident using Microsoft Excel and other finance systems • Excellent communication skills • Able to manage workload efficiently and work independently when required About Allstaff Recruitment We’re an independent recruitment specialist based in Bedfordshire, supporting businesses across Bedford, Milton Keynes, and surrounding areas.
