Job description

Finance Assistant (Part-Time) Hours: 18.5 hours per week, across 3 days Reed is recruiting on behalf of a well-established charitable organisation for a Part-Time Finance Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking for a varied role supporting the day-to-day financial operations of a community-focused organisation. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will provide efficient financial and administrative support, ensuring accurate financial records are maintained and financial procedures are followed consistently. Key Responsibilities • Expenses, ensuring accuracy and appropriate supporting documentation. • Purchase Ledger • Petty Cash • Accounts Receivable • Sales Ledger • Maintain accurate financial records. • Bank reconciliations. • Update financial spreadsheets. • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts. • Support the wider administration function when required. About You Essential • A qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or AAT (or equivalent). • Previous experience in a finance or accounts administration role. • Experience using accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks or similar. • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. • Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.. • Ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines. • Good written and verbal communication skills. • High levels of integrity, and confidentiality. • Ability to speak an additional language relevant to the communities supported by the organisation would be advantageous Desirable Experience working within the charity or public sector or not-for-profit.
