Job description

Accounts Assistant Role Overview We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This opportunity would suit either someone with previous accounts experience or a recent graduate/early-career candidate looking to build a career in finance and accounting. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting day-to-day financial operations while developing their skills within a supportive and progressive finance function. Key Responsibilities • Perform daily bank reconciliations. • Maintain the purchase ledger, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time. • Post and allocate sales ledger receipts. • Process a variety of financial transactions, bonuses, online sales income, company credit card transactions and banking-related activities. • Ensure all transactions are posted accurately and reconciled promptly. • Generate payment schedules for supplier payments. • Monitor and manage the finance inbox, responding to queries in a professional and timely manner. • Assist with ad hoc finance and administrative tasks as required. What We're Looking For • Previous experience in an accounts, finance or administrative role would be advantageous but is not essential. • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related subject would be beneficial for graduate applicants. • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, would be an advantage. • A desire to build a long-term career within finance.
