Accounts Assistant

Accounts Assistant (6-Month FTC) Salary: Up to £28k FTE Location: Ross-on-Wye (hybrid, 2 days per week from home once established) We're looking for a Finance Assistant who can hit the ground running in a busy finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a varied role supporting Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, cashbook reconciliations and credit control, while helping drive process improvements across the finance function. Key responsibilities: • Processing supplier invoices and payments • Reconciling supplier accounts and resolving queries • Managing daily bank reconciliations and cashbook activities • Supporting credit control and debt collection processes • Maintaining accurate customer and supplier records • Assisting with month-end activities and financial reporting • Identifying and supporting finance process improvements About you: • Previous experience in an accounts payable or finance assistant role • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills • Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills • Comfortable working with financial systems and Excel • Proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset
