Accounts Assistant

Are you an experienced finance professional looking for a varied, hands-on role where you can make a real impact? We're working with a successful business seeking a capable and proactive finance professional to join their team on a temp to perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with the Finance Director, gaining exposure to a broad range of financial responsibilities while helping to drive efficiencies and improvements across the finance function. Key duties will include: • Producing management information and supporting financial analysis to aid business decision-making • Assisting with month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, and account reconciliations • Processing weekly and monthly payroll and ensuring accurate records are maintained • Preparing VAT returns and supporting statutory and HMRC compliance requirements • Identifying opportunities to streamline finance processes and improve efficiency • Managing bank reconciliations, expenses, and petty cash transactions • Overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable activities • Supporting ad-hoc finance projects and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives We're keen to speak with experienced finance professionals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and taking responsibility for a wide range of accounting duties.
