We're partnering with a growing and well-established business looking for an Accounts Payable Manager to lead a small team and oversee the day-to-day running of a busy Accounts Payable function. As the Accounts Payable Manager, you'll take ownership of the Accounts Payable function, ensuring the team delivers a first-class service to both suppliers and the wider business. You'll be responsible for: • Leading, motivating and developing a small Accounts Payable team. • Managing the day-to-day Accounts Payable function to ensure service levels are maintained. • Acting as the first point of escalation for supplier queries and payment issues. • Reviewing payment runs and approving invoices before final authorisation. • Ensuring month-end activities, reconciliations and reporting are completed accurately and on time. • Managing company credit card accounts, reconciliations and associated administration. • Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. • Conducting regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews and team meetings. • Completing daily bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records. • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls and system efficiencies. • Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives. • Ensuring robust financial controls are maintained to minimise risk and protect the business.
