Accounts Payable Supervisor Glasgow City Centre | 4-Week Temporary Assignment £20.00 per hour | 37.5 hours per week Are you an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor available immediately for a short-term assignment? Our client, a well-established organisation based in Glasgow City Centre, is seeking a capable and hands-on AP Supervisor to join their finance team on a 4-week temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable professional who enjoys leading a team while ensuring the smooth delivery of day-to-day AP operations. The Role As Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the Accounts Payable function, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and payments are made within agreed timescales. You will also provide day-to-day management and support to a team of three Accounts Payable Assistants, helping to maintain high performance and efficiency throughout the department. Key Responsibilities • Supervising and supporting a team of 3 Accounts Payable Assistants • Overseeing the end-to-end Accounts Payable process • Ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner • Managing payment runs and resolving payment queries • Reviewing and approving transactions in line with company procedures • Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies and supplier issues • Assisting with reconciliations and month-end activities • Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders • Identifying process improvements and supporting the wider finance team where required About You To be successful in this role, you will have: • Previous experience in an Accounts Payable Supervisor or Senior AP position • Proven experience managing or mentoring Accounts Payable staff • Strong understanding of end-to-end Accounts Payable processes • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills • Good working knowledge of finance systems and Microsoft Excel • Availability to start immediately or at short notice What's on Offer? • £20.00 per hour • 37.5-hour working week • Convenient Glasgow City Centre location • Opportunity to work with a respected organisation • Immediate start available • Valuable short-term assignment with the opportunity to make an immediate impact If you're an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor looking for your next temporary assignment, apply today to be considered.
