Job description

Whilst this looks like a regular Accounts Senior position, in reality it is a springboard to future development with progression to a management position built in. A well-established and highly respected accountancy practice in Bridgwater is looking to recruit an Accounts Senior to join its experienced team. This is a varied and hands-on role offering exposure to a diverse client portfolio, the opportunity to mentor junior colleagues and genuine scope to progress into management. As Accounts Senior, your role will see you: - Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for limited companies - Preparing corporation tax calculations and assisting with tax planning assignments - Producing management accounts, including meaningful commentary for clients - Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team, helping to develop their technical knowledge - Working closely with Partners to deliver a high-quality service across a broad range of clients and industries - Contributing to process improvements and identifying more efficient ways of working The successful Accounts Senior candidate will: Be ACA or ACCA qualified, with previous experience gained within an accountancy practice environment. Whilst several years of post-qualified experience would be advantageous, applications are welcomed from ambitious accountants with the technical ability and desire to continue developing their careers. You'll possess strong accounts preparation skills, a proactive approach and the confidence to build positive relationships with both clients and colleagues.
