Job description
• Provide reception cover, welcoming patients and visitors in a professional, courteous, and confidential manner
• Manage incoming and outgoing telephone calls, ensuring excellent customer service and appropriate signposting of patient enquiries
• Process patient registrations, updates, and record maintenance accurately on the clinical system
• Support the management of community and hospital referrals, including eRS referrals
• Invite and recall patients for routine health checks, reviews, and appointments
• Assist with private work, including insurance forms and private medical reports
• Triage and process eConsults in accordance with practice procedures
• Respond to patient queries and support the management of complaints in a professional and sensitive manner
• Liaise with external organisations and suppliers, including hospitals, community services, IT help desks, and stock providers
• Maintain petty cash and assist with basic financial administration
• Support the management team with administrative tasks as required
• Use clinical and communication systems such as SystmOne and AccuRx
• Carry out general administrative and clerical duties, including scanning, filing, document management, and maintaining office inventory
• Assist with any additional administrative tasks required to support the smooth running of the practice
