Adult ADHD Assessor - Independent Prescriber

Main duties of the job • Deliver structured diagnostic assessments (history, impairment, co-morbidity, risk) and provide clear feedback and written plans. • Conduct structured follow-up reviews to monitor treatment response, adjust care plans and ensure safe, effective long-term management. • Initiate and adjust medication within local formulary; arrange/interpret baselines and physical health monitoring. • Run brief titration contacts until stable; complete safe shared-care transfers to primary care (EPS and templates). • Document contemporaneously; produce high-quality letters on the day; maintain accurate, auditable records. • Present complex cases at the weekly MDT; contribute to audit, incident learning and quality improvement. • Support induction, case discussion and day-to-day coaching for colleagues; uphold safeguarding, consent/capacity and information governance at all times.
