Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Clinical Practitioner

• To provide Nurse Practitioner services to patients of the practice, including diagnosis, treatment, screening and advice within the professional competence of the post holder. • To provide clinical leadership including acting on Clinical Governance issues, such as urgent and routine results, letters and on instructions from outside agencies such as hospitals and consultants. • To work independently in the surgery in the absence of a GP, possessing the initiative and confidence to do so. • To work as part of the Primary Healthcare Team, sharing decision-making and information where appropriate.
