Job description

Agricultural Sprayer Operator Hours: 40 per week, 7:30am to 4:30pm. A well-established food manufacturing company is looking for reliable and hardworking Agricultural Sprayer Operator to join their growing farm team. This is a hands-on role working as part of the farming team to help manage the crop protection and nutrition program for our potato farming operations. As the site is located in an area with limited public transport links, a UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential. Benefits: • 33 days annual leave, 3 days need to be reserved for Christmas shutdown • Enhanced sick pay after one year of service • Staff discount on products • Employee discount platform • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and HR support • Free onsite parking • PPE provided • Uniform provided and professionally laundered Key responsibilities: • Operate, calibrate and maintain agricultural spraying equipment • Carry out crop protection and nutrition applications safely and efficiently • Monitor weather conditions and adjust application methods as required • Follow all health & safety procedures and regulatory guidelines • Maintain accurate records of chemical usage and treatments • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs when necessary • Work closely with the wider farming team to support crop performance and farm operations Requirements: • Completed PA1 & PA2 training – PA4 an advantage • Telescopic Forklift & Counterbalance licence • Previous experience in chemical application or related field. • Availability to work night shifts or overtime during the busy planting and harvesting times of year. • Knowledge of plant and crop management and various types of pesticides and herbicides. • Familiarity with GPS and mapping systems for precise applications • Ability to work independently and in a team environment If you enjoy working as part of team but also are happy to work on your own, like to stay busy, and take pride in doing a job properly, we would like to hear from you.
