Air Export Coordinator

Air Export Coordinator Right Now Group are working with a leading global freight forwarding business based at London Heathrow, who are looking to appoint an experienced Air Export Coordinator to join their established Air Freight team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced operation specialising in the movement of temperature-sensitive and time-critical cargo. You'll play a key role in ensuring export shipments are handled efficiently from booking through to departure, whilst delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining full compliance with customs and airline regulations. Key Responsibilities of an Air Export Coordinator • Manage the end-to-end air export process for temperature-sensitive and time-critical shipments. • Arrange airline bookings and coordinate collections, deliveries and supplier requirements. • Complete export customs entries accurately and independently. • Prepare and process all export documentation, including MAWBs, HAWBs, commercial invoices and customs paperwork. • Liaise with customers, airlines, overseas agents, hauliers and warehouse teams to ensure shipments move efficiently. • Provide proactive shipment updates and resolve operational issues where required. • Monitor shipment progress to ensure customer service levels and delivery deadlines are achieved. • Ensure all operational files are completed accurately and invoiced in a timely manner. • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers and internal departments. Skills & Experience Required • Previous experience working within Air Export Freight Forwarding is essential. • Experience handling temperature-controlled, pharmaceutical or perishable shipments would be advantageous. • Confident completing export customs entries without supervision. • Strong understanding of export documentation and HMRC customs procedures. • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple shipments simultaneously. • Strong communication skills with the confidence to liaise with customers, overseas agents and airlines. • IT literate with experience using Microsoft Office and freight forwarding systems. • A proactive, organised and customer-focused approach.
