Applications Engineer – Tendering & Client Engagement We’re recruiting for an Applications Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team focused on delivering high-quality project solutions and winning new business through effective tendering. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the commercial side of engineering and thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. The Role You’ll be responsible for managing project opportunities from initial enquiry through to tender submission and delivery. Key responsibilities include: • Preparing and submitting high-quality technical proposals • Managing and tracking project opportunities through internal systems • Building long-term relationships with contractors and clients • Identifying new project opportunities and contributing to pipeline growth • Supporting projects throughout the full lifecycle, from tender to completion • Monitoring forecasts and prioritising high-value opportunities What We’re Looking For • Experience in an Applications Engineer or similar technical role • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and layouts • Commercial awareness with a proactive, results-driven mindset • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills • Comfortable working independently and within a team What’s on Offer • Competitive salary (£30,000–£40,000 depending on experience) • 25 days holiday + additional benefits package • Training and development opportunities • Flexible working environment
