We're seeking a motivated and practical Stores & Workshop Apprentice to join a busy and supportive team in Redhill. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across workshop operations, stores management and technical assembly activities, whilst receiving training and development to build your long-term career.
Whether you're a recent school leaver, college graduate or someone looking to develop practical technical skills, this role offers exposure to a wide range of workshop and logistics processes in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Be Doing
As part of the Stores and Workshop team, you'll support a variety of operational activities, including:
Workshop Duties
• Assisting with functional testing of equipment
• Supporting mechanical assembly and hardware installation activities
• Using hand tools for mechanical and electrical tasks
• Preparing cables and connectors for termination
• Assisting with the assembly and wiring of panel systems
• Maintaining a safe, organised and efficient workshop environment
• Updating workshop records and documentation accurately
Stores & Logistics Duties
• Supporting goods-in and goods-out activities
• Picking, checking and packing equipment for despatch
• Assisting with stock control and inventory management
• Maintaining accurate stock and serial number records
• Supporting stock takes and cycle counts
• Helping to ensure all items are received and despatched accurately and on time
• Assisting with general facilities and housekeeping activities across the site

We're looking for someone who is:
• Practical, hands-on and eager to learn
• Organised with excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
• Reliable, trustworthy and able to work as part of a team
• Physically capable of handling and moving equipment safely
• A strong communicator with a good level of literacy and numeracy
• Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a busy environment
No previous industry experience is required, but a genuine interest in engineering, workshop activities, logistics or technical operations would be highly advantageous.
Training & Development
Full training will be provided, including:
• Forklift training
• Workshop-related technical training
• Ongoing support and development from experienced colleagues
• Exposure to a wide variety of engineering and logistics processes
