Job Summary We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Bricklayer to join our construction team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in masonry and related trades under the supervision of experienced professionals. The Apprentice Bricklayer will assist with various building tasks, develop essential skills, and contribute to the successful completion of construction projects. Responsibilities • Assist with laying bricks, blocks, and other masonry units following project specifications and safety standards • Use hand tools such as trowels, levels, and chisels to perform basic bricklaying tasks • Operate power tools and small machinery under supervision to prepare materials and work areas • Support with site preparation, including mixing mortar and organising materials • Learn and adhere to health and safety regulations on-site • Assist with other construction duties such as carpentry, roofing, or welding as directed by supervisors • Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety and efficiency Skills • Basic knowledge of hand tools used in bricklaying and masonry work • Willingness to learn bricklaying techniques and masonry principles • Familiarity with power tools, carpentry, roofing, or welding is advantageous but not essential • Good organisational skills and attention to detail • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team • Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks throughout the working day • Enthusiasm for developing new skills within the construction industry This position provides a valuable pathway into the building trade, offering hands-on experience in a supportive environment.
