Apprentice Bricklayer

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Bricklayer to join our construction team. The Apprentice Bricklayer will assist with various building tasks, develop essential skills, and contribute to the successful completion of construction projects. Responsibilities • Assist with laying bricks, blocks, and other masonry units following project specifications and safety standards • Use hand tools such as trowels, levels, and chisels to perform basic bricklaying tasks • Operate power tools and small machinery under supervision to prepare materials and work areas • Support with site preparation, including mixing mortar and organising materials • Learn and adhere to health and safety regulations on-site • Assist with other construction duties such as carpentry, roofing, or welding as directed by supervisors • Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety and efficiency Skills • Basic knowledge of hand tools used in bricklaying and masonry work • Willingness to learn bricklaying techniques and masonry principles • Familiarity with power tools, carpentry, roofing, or welding is advantageous but not essential • Good organisational skills and attention to detail • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team • Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks throughout the working day • Enthusiasm for developing new skills within the construction industry This position provides a valuable pathway into the building trade, offering hands-on experience in a supportive environment.
