Art and Textiles Teacher • Annual Salary: Paid to scale (Pro-rata for 6 weeks) • Location: Loughton • Job Type: Temporary (6 weeks from September to October 16th) • Working Hours: Full-time We are seeking a qualified Art and Textiles Teacher to join our faith-based school for a temporary position starting in September and concluding on October 16th. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic educator with a passion for art and textiles, who possesses the necessary qualifications and experience to inspire young minds in a community predominantly of Christian and Jewish students. Day-to-day of the role: • Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring lessons in Art and Textiles that engage and motivate students. • Assess and record students’ progress, preparing them for any necessary evaluations. • Maintain a stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and creativity. • Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance the curriculum and learning experience. • Manage classroom resources and ensure a tidy and orderly workspace. • Uphold the faith-based ethos of the school in all teaching and interactions, respecting the religious backgrounds of all students. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. • Experience teaching Art and Textiles in a secondary school setting. • Strong organisational and communication skills. • Ability to foster a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour effectively. • Passion for art and creative teaching methods. • Respect for and understanding of the school's faith-based values.
