We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant with an ASD specialism to support a KS2 pupil at a welcoming school located near Hoo, Rochester, Kent.
This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and helping them thrive both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil with ASD
• Support learning, communication, and emotional regulation
• Implement strategies in line with EHCP targets
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
• Create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment
Essential Requirements:
• Experience supporting children with ASD (school-based preferred)
• Understanding of KS2 curriculum and SEN strategies
• Patient, reliable, and adaptable approach
• Must have own transport due to the school's location and limited public transport access
Desirable:
• SEN or TA qualification
• Experience with visual supports, routines, or behaviour strategies
