Job description

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Assembly Operative to join our client's manufacturing team on a temporary, ad-hoc basis. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling a wide range of air handling units. Hours of work are Monday-Friday . This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing or sheet metal experience who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities • Fabricate and assemble air handling units and associated components. • Assemble parts and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools. • Position and align components manually or using lifting equipment where required. • Carry out occasional welding of components. • Conduct quality control inspections throughout the assembly process. • Measure completed components to ensure they meet specifications. • Complete production and quality documentation accurately. • Maintain tools, equipment and work areas to a high standard. • Perform routine equipment checks and report any faults or maintenance requirements. • Follow all company health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe working environment. • Occasionally travel to customer sites within the UK and overseas to support installation or resolve service issues. Skills and Experience The ideal candidate will have: • Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment. • Experience working with sheet metal. • Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings. • Good attention to detail with a strong focus on quality. • Good manual dexterity and practical skills. • Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move materials safely. • A good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment. • Strong communication skills. • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
