Assistant Accountant

Are you looking to work for a fast paced business with international presence based in Luton? This is a varied role offering full exposure across purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control, multi-currency accounting, and European VAT. You will be involved in day-to day finance operations from the outset, with genuine scope to develop and take on increased responsibility over time. A key part of this role includes supporting the European division, with the opportunity to progress into ownership of the P&L as you grow. Key Responsibilities • Processing supplier invoices, credit notes and resolving queries • Supporting payment runs, cash flow forecasting and expenses • Managing sales ledger, credit control and customer invoicing systems • Reconciling multi-currency accounts across UK and Europe • Assisting with EC Sales Lists, VAT returns and European reporting • Supporting month-end close, payroll timesheets and reporting • Involvement in finance projects and process improvements What We’re Looking For • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, varied role • Previous finance experience ideally with some exposure to month end • Interest in developing a career in finance Why Apply? • Broad exposure across the full finance function • Early responsibility with clear progression opportunities • International exposure across UK and Europe • Supportive team and growing business environment If you like the sound of this role please do apply.
