Accounts Assistant
Location: South West London
Full-time | Hybrid
Are you an organised and detail-oriented finance professional looking to join a supportive and fast-paced finance team? We are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to play a key role in supporting our day-to-day finance operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid grounding in finance who enjoys working with numbers, building strong relationships and contributing to the smooth running of a busy accounts function.
About the Role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for supporting the finance team with a broad range of accounting and administrative duties, ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
• Processing sales and purchase invoices
• Posting bank receipts, payments and other banking transactions
• Reconciling supplier statements and bank accounts
• Preparing supplier payment runs and remittance advice
• Matching purchase invoices to purchase orders
• Setting up new customers and suppliers, including credit checks where required
• Supporting credit control activities, including customer statements and payment reminders
• Maintaining accurate electronic and paper filing systems
• Assisting with month-end reconciliations and cash flow reporting
• Producing ad-hoc finance reports and analysis
• Handling finance-related enquiries from customers, suppliers and colleagues
• Supporting the wider finance team with general administrative duties as required
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
At least 2 years' experience in a similar finance or accounts role
Experience of:
• Sales Ledger
• Purchase Ledger
• Bank reconciliations
• Journals
• Multi-currency transactions
It would be an advantage if you also have:
• AAT qualification (or are currently studying towards AAT)
• Experience using Sage 200
• Knowledge of Real Asset Management (RAM) software
