Description
Accounts Payable
• Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
• Respond to supplier queries and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Ensure invoices are appropriately authorised and coded.
Accounts Receivable
• Raise sales invoices and credit notes.
• Monitor customer accounts and chase outstanding payments.
• Allocate incoming receipts and reconcile customer accounts.
• Resolve customer queries relating to invoices and payments.
• Support credit control activities to minimise aged debt.
Month-End & Financial Accounting
• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Prepare and post journals, including accruals, prepayments and other month-end adjustments.
• Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with maintaining fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Support the completion of month-end close activities within agreed deadlines.
• Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies and variances.
Financial Reporting & Administration
• Assist with budget and forecast preparation.
• Produce financial reports and analysis as required.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Support year-end audit requirements and provide supporting information.
Profile
Essential Experience
• Previous experience in an Assistant Management Accountant, Assistant Accountant, Management Accounts Assistant or similar role.
• Strong hands-on month-end accounting experience.
• Experience preparing accruals, prepayments, journals and reconciliations.
• Experience producing or assisting with monthly management accounts.
• Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Job Offer
• Salary equivalent up to £35,000
• Part time role - 3 days per week
