Based in Central Lancashire, this highly acquisitional IT based organisation are seeking a talented finance professional to join an expanding group in a newly established role. A hybrid position, leading on the day to day processing of financial activity, this role is also tasked to add value at month-end across the wider group. A varied and diverse position, the organisation are in a strong financial position and have a successful track record spanning many years in the sector they operate Salary and Enhanced Benefits include: Hybrid working (1 to 2 days in the office) Competitive salary and benefits package Enhanced holidays Progression opportunity Your New Role As Assistant Accountant: Reporting to the Finance Lead, this role is responsible for the day to day processing of the financial ledgers, working with others in the department to accurately record all financial activity in a timely manner. As Assistant Accountant you shall also add value at month end, assisting with elements of management accounts and the month end close process. This is a varied role and one to add value to the small team. Also supporting other business units, no day is the same. Main role duties: • Take the lead on ledger management across all areas of the business. • Support local regional based Finance teams during the month/ quarter and year end close process. • Assist in the preparation of monthly & quarterly management account packs • Bank reconciliations for multi entities in the portfolio • Allocation of accruals and prepayments • Assisting with making payments to suppliers and managing Credit facilities for the business. • Ad-hoc project work. Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply: To be considered you shall be an experienced Finance professional with high integrity and energy. Driven and self-motivated to succeed you shall have managed day to day financial activity and also have had exposure to assisting month end routine. Your experience will also have provided you with personal achievements which can demonstrate your ability and skills to add value in all areas of the JD.
