Ives Recruitment Solutions are delighted to have been retained by this innovative, multi-entity, growth business to recruit an Assistant Finance Manager/Senior Bookkeeper to join their team. This is a superb opportunity for the right individual to put their stamp on the role; to improve processes and systems; and to provide robust financial support. As the business grows, there is a tangible opportunity for this role to develop and step up if that is something you would like to do. Based at their Head Office situated in Central Beds, this role will support their highly engaging and supportive Financial Controller with all aspects of financial accounts preparation. You will work closely with the other members of the finance team and be able to work collaboratively. There will also be close working with the management team and CEO as required. Your role will encompass a wide range of financial accounting activity across the multi-entities including accounts payable and receivables, bank reconciliations, journals, general ledger management, billing and managing month end. You will also be responsible for assisting with the preparation of annual accounts, VAT returns, liaison with HMRC and external accountants, and will ensure that compliance and controls are adhered to. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys breadth in their remit, who has close attention to detail and can manage a varied and busy workload. You must demonstrate accuracy and have a “hands-on” approach. Skills Required • AAT qualified or qualified by experience. • Advanced IT skills including strong Excel. QuickBooks experience is highly advantageous. • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. • Proven experience operating in a similar role within a SME business. • Previous Group and Intercompany experience are highly desirable.
