Assistant Project Manager Construction Consultancy

A growing construction consultancy in London is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join its close-knit team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to work across a varied portfolio of office, residential, and logistics projects, gaining hands-on experience while being mentored by experienced Partners who remain actively involved in project delivery. The Assistant Project Manager will support the successful delivery of projects from inception through to completion, while gradually taking ownership of smaller commissions. This Assistant Project Manager role would suit someone with construction consultancy experience who is keen to develop their client-facing skills and progress towards becoming a Project Manager. The successful Assistant Project Manager will benefit from working in a collaborative environment where every project is Partner-led, ensuring excellent mentoring and career development. You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role. The Assistant Project Manager's roleThe Assistant Project Manager will support the delivery of office, residential, and logistics projects through both pre-contract and post-contract stages. The Assistant Project Manager will assist with programme management, consultant coordination, procurement support, contract administration, project reporting, stakeholder management, and risk monitoring. They will attend client meetings, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, prepare project documentation, and support the successful delivery of projects while developing the confidence to manage smaller schemes independently. The Assistant Project ManagerThe successful Assistant Project Manager will have: • Prior experience working within a construction consultancy environment • Experience supporting the delivery of construction projects • Exposure to office, residential, logistics, or similar sectors • A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a related discipline • Working towards MRICS or another relevant professional qualification • Good understanding of JCT contracts and project delivery • Strong communication and organisational skills • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn from senior professionals • The ability to build strong client and consultant relationships In Return? • £38,000 - £45,000 • Pension contribution • Professional membership fees paid • APC and MRICS support • Flexible hybrid working, agreed with your line manager • Direct mentoring from Partners • Varied office, residential, and logistics projects • Clear career progression opportunities Assistant Project Manager | Construction Consultancy | Residential Projects | Office Projects | Logistics Projects | APC Support
