Assistant Psychologist

Please see attached job description. • Supporting clinical staff in using and interpreting routine outcomes measures, analysing data, producing reports and training staff in outcome measures. • Disseminating best practice knowledge and guidance in relation to use of outcomes measures and attending all outcome related meetings working closely alongside the local outcomes leads and colleagues. • To utilise strong IT skills and knowledge of Excel and SPSS and other relevant data systems to analyse and report on data in an accessible and concise manner. • Excellent communication skills are necessary to be able to liaise and support clinical staff and teams, and an interest in working with children and young people is essential. • To assist in the development of a psychologically based framework of understanding and care to the benefit of all clients of the service, across all settings where care takes place. • To frequently exercise mental effort on a daily basis during triage and assessment. • To convey unwelcome or unpleasant news to service users and families in an empathetic and sensitive manner • To effectively manage frequent distressing or emotional circumstances, accessing support when required. • To be able to cope with occasional, potential stressful, upsetting or emotional situations in an empathetic manner, such as referrals which may have information about traumatic childhood experiences and abuse. • To create graphs, presentations or charts to collage or summarise data on individual interventions or treatment programmes. • To assist in producing visual material or user friendly information for access to services within Bromley.
