Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Cambridge - £35,000-£40,000 A growing and well-regarded construction consultancy is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their Cambridge team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to gain hands-on experience across a diverse range of projects including residential, commercial and industrial (sheds) developments. The successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be supported by experienced senior professionals, making this an ideal role for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to build a strong foundation in the industry. The appointed Assistant Quantity Surveyor will assist in the delivery of projects from inception through to completion, working closely with clients and senior surveyors. The Company? * The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will join an independent construction consultancy with a strong presence in Cambridge * Projects span residential, commercial and industrial (warehouse/shed) sectors * Known for delivering tailored cost management and project consultancy services * A close-knit and supportive team environment with clear progression for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor The Role * Assisting with cost planning, budgeting and feasibility studies as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor * Supporting procurement processes, tendering and contractor engagement * Assisting with contract administration duties (primarily JCT) * Monitoring project costs, variations and financial reporting * Supporting valuations and final accounts as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor * Liaising with clients, contractors and internal teams * Working closely with senior surveyors to ensure successful project delivery The Assistant Quantity Surveyor? * Degree qualified (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline * Some experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or relevant industry placement * Basic understanding of JCT contracts and commercial processes * Keen to work towards MRICS chartership * Strong communication and organisational skills * Motivated and career-focused Assistant Quantity Surveyor In return……? * £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience) * Full APC support and structured career development * Exposure to a wide range of Cambridge-based projects * Supportive and collaborative team environment * Clear progression to Project Quantity Surveyor This is a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a growing consultancy and develop their career as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, gaining valuable experience across a diverse project portfolio in Cambridge.
