This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced audit professional to take ownership of a varied portfolio of clients within a collaborative and forward-thinking firm. The role offers strong client exposure, team leadership responsibilities and clear progression opportunities. The Role As an Audit Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of audit clients across a broad range of industries, managing assignments from planning through to completion while acting as a key point of contact for clients and the wider team. You will play a significant role in reviewing work, mentoring junior staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services. Key responsibilities will include: • Managing a portfolio of audit clients across a range of sectors • Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion • Reviewing statutory accounts and associated audit files • Ensuring compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP standards • Providing practical guidance to clients on regulatory and compliance matters • Reviewing work completed by junior team members and providing coaching and technical support • Managing workflow, deadlines and team resourcing effectively • Building and maintaining strong long-term client relationships • Supporting Partners with ad-hoc advisory and business development projects • Playing an active role in developing and mentoring junior members of the audit team RequirementsThe Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will likely have: • ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification • Strong experience within an audit-focused role in a UK accountancy practice • Good working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP • Experience managing audits across a broad range of industries • Proven experience reviewing work and mentoring junior staff • Strong communication and client management skills • The ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines effectively • A proactive and commercial approach to client service BenefitsWhat’s on Offer • Competitive salary dependent on experience • Strong progression opportunities within a growing practice • Varied and interesting audit client portfolio • Supportive and collaborative working environment • Ongoing professional development and leadership opportunities • Flexible working arrangements where appropriate For a confidential conversation about this opportunity, or other accountancy practice roles, please reach out to Kourtney Luckett on , or via .
