The Opportunity This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established independent accountancy and business advisory firm with an excellent reputation for developing people and promoting from within. The Role Working closely with Audit Seniors, Managers and Partners, you'll play an important role in delivering high-quality audit and accounting services to a varied client base. Responsibilities will include: • Assisting with statutory audits from planning through to completion • Preparing audit files and supporting audit fieldwork • Completing substantive testing and audit documentation • Preparing statutory accounts for a range of clients • Assisting with corporation tax computations where required • Working directly with clients and developing strong professional relationships • Identifying areas for improvement and adding value throughout the audit process • Supporting and mentoring trainees where appropriate • Working closely with senior members of the team to develop your technical knowledge The successful candidate will ideally have: • ACA or ACCA part-qualified (or AAT qualified with audit experience) • Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice • Experience assisting on statutory audits • Good understanding of UK accounting standards • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn • Excellent organisation and attention to detail • The ambition to continue progressing towards professional qualification What's On Offer • £30,000 - £38,000 basic salary • Hybrid working arrangements • Full ACA/ACCA study support • Paid study leave • Professional membership fees paid • Competitive pension scheme • Generous annual leave plus bank holidays • Ongoing technical and soft skills training • Modern technology and cloud-based systems • Friendly and collaborative team culture • Clear progression to Audit Senior and beyond
