Audit Senior

We are looking for an experienced Audit Senior to join a reputable professional services firm within the Accounting & Finance department. This position is based in Bristol and requires a strong understanding of audit processes and financial reporting. Client Details The organisation is a well-established, small-sized professional services firm specialising in Accounting & Finance. They are committed to providing high-quality services to their clients while fostering a supportive and professional work environment. Description • Plan, execute, and finalise audit engagements for a Charities, • Leading planning and clearance meetings with clients; • from planning through to completion, under the supervision of managers and partners; • Preparing charity SORP accounts as part of the audit/IE assignment; • Opportunity to take a manager role (reporting direct to partner) on a portfolio of independent examination clients (subject to experience); • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with relevant standards. • Opportunity to carry out ad hoc consultancy projects for clients, for example, trustee training, grant audits, VAT reviews, accounting system implementation and virtual FD work (subject to experience). • Identify and communicate audit findings and recommend process improvements. • Supervising trainees, and providing training, development and mentoring to them; • Ensure adherence to deadlines and maintain high-quality standards throughout projects. • Collaborate with clients to address queries and provide tailored solutions. • Assist in the development and implementation of audit strategies and methodologies. • Stay updated on changes in accounting and auditing standards within the professional services industry. Profile A successful Audit Senior should have: • Professional accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or equivalent). • Strong knowledge of audit procedures and financial reporting standards. • Charity Audit Expereince • Experience working within the professional services industry. • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines. • Proven ability to mentor and support junior team members. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction. Job Offer • Competitive salary in the range of £43,000-£46,000, depending on experience. • Annual discretionary performance bonus, typically between 5% to 10% of salary. • Universal Christmas bonus, typically around £500. • 25 days of holiday, plus bank holidays. • Opportunities for professional development and career progression. • A supportive and collaborative working environment in Bristol.
