Auto Electrical / Plant Fitter £20.00 - £22.00 per hour Location: Alfreton, Derbyshire Our client is looking for an experienced Auto Electrical / Plant Fitter to join their team. The role involves carrying out repairs, maintenance and electrical installations on heavy plant, road rail vehicles and associated equipment. Auto Electrical / Plant Fitter - Position Overview • Carry out repairs, servicing and maintenance on heavy plant and road rail vehicles. • Install wiring looms and electrical components. • Diagnose and rectify electrical faults. • Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and schematics. • Build and assemble mechanical components. • Use hand tools and equipment to a high standard. • Work both at the depot and customer sites as required. • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety procedures. Auto Electrical / Plant Fitter - Position Requirements • Strong electrical and mechanical background. • Previous fitting and assembly experience. • Experience working on heavy plant, HGV, quarry, waste, mining or similar equipment (car experience only is not suitable). • Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics. • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. • Good communication skills and a strong team ethic. • NVQ Level 3 in Auto Electrical Engineering or equivalent would be advantageous. • Auto Electrical apprenticeship desirable. • Full UK Driving Licence required. Auto Electrical / Plant Fitter - Position Remuneration • £20.00 - £22.00 per hour (dependent on experience). • Full-time, permanent position. • Death in Service non-contributory benefit scheme. • Stable long-term opportunity. • Opportunity to work on specialist heavy plant and road rail equipment. • 08:30am to 16:30am Monday to Friday. • Overtime opportunities may be available at time and a half during periods of high workload
