Working under the supervision of a Senior School Nurse or Team Leader, you will manage a delegated caseload and play a key role in promoting physical, emotional and mental wellbeing, early intervention and prevention. Main responsibilities • Support the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme across universal and targeted services • Undertake health assessments and provide evidence-based advice and interventions for children and young people • Deliver health promotion activities within schools and community settings • Support vulnerable children and families in line with safeguarding and early help frameworks • Work collaboratively with schools, families and partner agencies to improve outcomes for children and young people • Contribute to school and community-based drop-in clinics • Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service improvement initiatives • Participate in supervision, training and continuing professional development About youYou will be a Registered Nurse with a passion for improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people.You will be confident working within a multidisciplinary team and committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will have: • Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse • Experience of working with children, young people and families • Strong communication and organisational skills • Knowledge of safeguarding, child development and evidence-based practice • A full driving licence and access to a car for community working Experience within school nursing, health visiting or community nursing would be desirable, but not essential.
