Join a Busy NHS Minor Injuries & Illness UnitVivid Healthcare are currently recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Minor Injuries & Illness Unit (MIIU) Practitioner to support a busy NHS service. This is an excellent opportunity for clinicians with urgent care experience who are confident assessing, treating and managing patients presenting with minor injuries and illnesses. If you have experience working in an MIIU, Emergency Department or Primary Care setting, we'd love to hear from you. Role Details • Job Title: Band 6 Minor Injuries & Illness Unit (MIIU) Practitioner • Specialty: Urgent Care • Contract Type: NHS Agency • Hours: Flexible shifts available • Start Date: ASAP Key Responsibilities • Independently assess, triage and treat patients presenting with minor injuries and illnesses. • Perform wound assessment, treatment and dressing management. • Undertake patient observations and recognise deteriorating patients. • Administer appropriate pain relief within your scope of practice. • Deliver safe, evidence-based care in a fast-paced urgent care environment. • Escalate and refer patients appropriately when required. • Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation. Essential Requirements • Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional with relevant professional registration. • Manchester Triage Training. • Competent in wound care management. • Experience managing patient observations. • Competent in administering pain relief. • Previous experience working within: • Minor Injuries & Illness Unit (MIIU) • Emergency Department (ED) • Primary Care • Right to work in the UK. • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one). • Compliance documentation available for immediate registration.
