Job description

• To undertake and, in the absence of a Band 7, lead on all CT scanning tasks as a senior team member team including Cannulation, contrast delivery, 4DCT, breath-hold techniques, palliative Eclipse planning and any future developments. • Ensure compliance with all safe working practices under IR(ME)R 2017 AND IRR 2017. • Ensure referral requests for Radiotherapy are completed and valid. • To demonstrate effective patient management and skills encompassing all patients needs, using specialist knowledge of Pre- Treatment procedures. • To undertake, patient consultations for preparing for CT scans & treatment and start of treatment reviews. • To Maintain knowledge of requirements and limitations of the treatment delivery service to allow optimal patient positioning • Demonstrate ability to resolve complex treatment and planning issues with problem solving skills and effective autonomous decision-making. • Compute and check specialised calculations and complex planning data relating to patients treatment delivery. • To communicate and participate with the multi-disciplinary team involved in patient care and service delivery. • To ensure all new patients receive departmental information and documentation on radiotherapy prior to treatment e.g. consent and pre-treatment review.
