Responsibilities • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality. • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all aspects of food and drink preparation. • Take customer orders efficiently and accurately, providing friendly and attentive service. • Handle cash transactions and operate the till with precision, ensuring correct change is given. • Restock supplies as needed, including coffee beans, milk, cups, and other ingredients or disposables. • Keep the work area clean and organised, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times. • Engage with customers in a welcoming manner, fostering a positive atmosphere within the café. • Assist with food preparation tasks when required, supporting overall operational efficiency. Skills • Previous barista experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. • Knowledge of food safety standards to ensure hygienic practices are maintained at all times. • Experience in serving customers with professionalism and courtesy. • Ability to perform basic food preparation tasks efficiently. • Strong time management skills to handle busy periods calmly while maintaining quality service. • Good basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately. • Excellent communication skills with a friendly attitude that enhances customer satisfaction.
