Job Opportunity: Behaviour Support Worker Location: Beckfoot Thornton Contract: Long-term and Short Term supply (likely temp-to-perm) | Term time only Start Date: ASAP Beckfoot Thornton is seeking a committed and caring Behaviour Support Worker to join the team from Febuary 2026 on a long-term or short-term supply basis, with the potential to become permanent. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Behaviour Support Worker who has experience supporting the wellbeing, behaviour, and learning of pupils—particularly vulnerable learners—within a welcoming and inclusive school community. Key Responsibilities: • Support pupils’ wellbeing, behaviour, and attitude to learning • Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns in collaboration with colleagues and external professionals • Build positive relationships with families and encourage engagement with school life • Promote inclusion, independence, and positive values in pupils • Track and monitor behaviour, attendance, and safeguarding concerns. • Make welfare calls and support strategies to improve attendance and punctuality. • Assist with lesson planning, pastoral care, and behaviour management. • Organise and support extracurricular and enrichment activities. • Maintain accurate records and contribute to the wider school environment.
