Job description

Chair of the Regulatory and Conduct Appointments Committee (RACAC) £12,000 per annum | Approximately 15 days per year | Three-year term Butler Rose has been exclusively retained by ICAEW to appoint an exceptional Chair of the Regulatory and Conduct Appointments Committee (RACAC). This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Board / Senior Committee Chair to play a pivotal role in safeguarding the public interest and influencing the future of professional regulation in the UK. Reporting to the ICAEW Regulation and Conduct Board, you will lead the committee responsible for appointing, developing and evaluating the chairs and members of ICAEW's regulatory and disciplinary committees, ensuring the highest standards of governance, independence and accountability are maintained. This appointment would suit an individual with significant board level leadership experience, strong judgement and credibility, together with expertise in governance, executive appointments, talent management or organisational oversight. Experience within a regulated environment would be advantageous. Applicants must be independent lay candidates and must not be members of the accountancy or legal professions, or have professional or commercial associations that could compromise their independence.
