Bookkeeper Location: Coventry Contract: Full Time Permanent Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking to join a well-established business where you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance function? We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to take ownership of the company's financial administration, ensuring accurate financial records, maintaining strong controls and supporting the wider business with day-to-day finance operations. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable organisation that values accuracy, initiative and collaboration. Key Responsibilities • Processing purchase and sales ledger transactions. • Completing daily bank reconciliations and account reconciliations. • Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable. • Chasing outstanding payments and carrying out credit control activities. • Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring data integrity. • Assisting with month-end processes, including journals and reconciliations. • Preparing financial information for external accountants. • Processing employee expenses and other financial transactions. • Supporting cash flow monitoring and reporting. • Assisting with VAT returns where required. • Providing general bookkeeping and finance administration support. About You • Previous experience in a Bookkeeper or similar finance position. • Strong working knowledge of Xero is essential. • Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach to your work. • Able to manage your workload independently while meeting deadlines. • Confident communicator with the ability to build positive working relationships. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with finance systems. • A positive, hands-on approach and willingness to support the wider finance team.
