BookkeeperLocation: Cardiff City Centre Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Job Type: Full-time, Permanent We are seeking an experienced and organised Bookkeeper to join our team based in Cardiff City Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who enjoys taking ownership of the finance function in a standalone role. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities, and ensuring the smooth running of the company's financial processes. Key Responsibilities • Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers • Processing purchase and sales invoices • Bank reconciliations • Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable • Preparing and submitting VAT returns • Processing payroll (where applicable) • Assisting with month-end and year-end procedures • Liaising with external accountants and auditors • Monitoring cash flow and assisting with financial reporting • Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations About YouThe ideal candidate will have: • Previous experience in a bookkeeping role • The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills • Good communication skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office • Experience using Xero accounting software is highly desirable • A proactive and reliable approach to work • A bookkeeping or accounting qualification (AAT or equivalent) would be advantageous What We Offer • Competitive salary, dependent on experience • A supportive and friendly working environment • A central Cardiff office with excellent transport links • Opportunities for professional development • The chance to take ownership of a standalone finance role and make a real impact If you are an experienced bookkeeper looking for a varied standalone position where you can use your skills and take responsibility for the day-to-day finance function, we would love to hear from you.
