Job description

A Bookkeeper role focusing on maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth day to day financial operations. This position is key to supporting the accounting processes and helping the business stay on top of its finances. Client Details This organisation prides itself on it's collaboration and reputation in it's industry. Description The Bookkeeper's responsibilities include: • Take ownership of the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accurate and timely bookkeeping across the business. • Manage the purchase-to-pay and order-to-cash processes, including invoice processing, payment runs, and credit control. • Maintain accurate financial records through regular bank, supplier, customer, and balance sheet reconciliations. • Process journals and assist with month-end activities, including accruals, prepayments, and ledger maintenance. • Monitor cash flow and support effective cash management across the organisation. • Assist with VAT submissions, audit requirements, and compliance-related finance activities. • Work closely with the Finance Director to improve processes, support reporting, and contribute to the smooth running of the finance function. Profile A successful Bookkeeper should have: • Experience in bookkeeping or a related accounting role. • Strong organisational and time management skills. • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. • An eye for detail and a methodical approach to work. • A good understanding of financial principles and practices. • Effective communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
