Description • Create original and innovative designs for boyswear collections that align with the brand's vision and target audience. • Research current market trends, fabrics, and colour palettes to ensure collections remain relevant and competitive. • Collaborate with the buying, merchandising, and production teams to ensure designs meet commercial objectives and production requirements. • Prepare detailed technical specifications and oversee sample development to achieve desired results. • Participate in seasonal range planning and contribute to the overall design strategy. • Ensure all designs align with the brand's identity and meet quality standards. • Attend and contribute to seasonal shopping trips abroad to gather inspiration and insights. • Maintain organised design archives and documentation for future reference. Profile A successful Boyswear Designer should have: • A strong background in fashion design, with a focus on boyswear or childrenswear. • Proficiency in design tools and software, including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. • Excellent knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and production processes. • A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating trend-driven designs. • The ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects effectively. • A portfolio demonstrating creative and commercially viable designs.
