KM Recruitment is a specialist UK wide recruiter for the Skills and Employability sectors. Job Title: Brickwork Trainer/Assessor Location: East London - Centre based, with travel required for learner workplace visits Salary: up to £56,000 (Salary depending on qualifications and experience & inclusive of location uplift) Package: Excellent Holiday Entitlement, Bonus opportunities, Pension + more Type: Full Time, Permanent Essential Criteria: • Must hold a minimum of a Level 2 NVQ in Brickwork, coupled with extensive bricklaying experience. • Must have worked on new-build developments, with 1st and 2nd fix experience. • Must have experience of delivering Brickwork Apprenticeships or ‘on the job’ mentoring. • Willingness to undertake the teaching and assessing qualifications - funded by the client. • Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively. • Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people. • Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle. Duties: • Teach/assess learners working towards Brickwork Apprenticeships, across practical and theoretical competencies. • Ensure training materials are up to date and in-line with organisational and regulatory standards. • Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs. • Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression. • Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners' skills knowledge and behaviours • Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
